| Course Description |
In Major 5, students develop individual design work proposals that assist and direct their course of study. This is done in consultation with academic staff. Individual work then develops over the semester in response to critical discussion with staff and peers. Studio theory fosters each student's ability to articulate a contextual framework for their developing design practice. OHS is approached professionally at this level. |

| Indicative Assessment |
Portfolio of studio work (80%) and Journal/Documentation/Studio Theory presentation (20%). Assessment includes periodic critique and review sessions that provide ongoing feedback on work in progress. |

12 hours per week lectures, tutorials, critiques and supervised studio practice and 6 hours per week independent studio practice. |
