This course provides a thorough coverage of static optimisation techniques as used in economics. It will be application oriented, and focus upon development of the following techiniques and their applications in economics:

Successful students should be able to solve simple static optimisation problems and to recognise the application of optimisation techniques to problems in economics. |

A combination of regular Problem Sets, a midterm exam and a final exam. |
