| Course Description |
The course considers environmental policy and planning theory and practice at scales from the local to the global. Interactive lectures and tutorials provide students with opportunities to analyse specific environmental planning and policy issues in theoretical frameworks and over different time scales. Students take part in a simulation of a senate enquiry and prepare their own ministerial policy briefs. Topics explored include the Murray-Darling Basin, sustainability in business and industry, regional planning, land care, public participation, cultural heritage, and the role of Indigenous people in environmental policy and planning. |
