| Course Description |
A study of the major figures in Italian postwar cinema (Rossellini, De Sica, Antonioni, Visconti, Wertmuller, the Taviani brothers, Amelio) through a number of their most representative films. |
| Indicative Assessment |
2,000-2,500 word essay (50%) and final exam (50%). |
| Workload | A one-hour lecture, a one-hour tutorial and a screening per week. |

(a) For students taking the course as part of the Film Studies major, Introduction to Film Studies FILM1002 and Intro to Film Genres FILM 1003. |
