Course Description	This course aims to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to successfully undertake information systems analysis and modelling. Lectures and tutorials provide coverage of the concepts, skills, methodologies, techniques, tools and perspectives considered essential for systems analysts working with modern systems.
Learning Outcomes	By the end of this course, you are expected to have attained a knowledge of or proficiency in the following areas: Basic systems theory and the context within which information systems analysis is carried out Eliciting information system requirements Constructing process, logic and data models using traditional modelling techniques Basic object-oriented modelling using UML "Soft" aspects and techniques in systems analysis.
Indicative Assessment	Weekly Tutorial/Laboratory Work 40%; Assignment 60%
Workload	3 hours per week + you should aim to spend at least twice as much time in private study per week as there are actual contact hours (i.e. lectures and tutorials/laboratory classes) for the course

Eligibility	At least an average of 65% (or equivalent) in the final two years of an Australian undergraduate degree
