| Course Description |
The student will prepare a research paper of 5,000 words on an approved topic. The topic for the paper will be selected in consultation with a supervisor. The supervisor will meet with the student at regular intervals to discuss the research process, to offer feedback and advice, monitor progress. |
| Learning Outcomes | Upon completion of the research paper, the student will have read deeply and given thought to a particular field of Italian studies. She/he will also have developed skills in collecting, reading, analysing and evaluating evidence; formulating an argument; and writing up the discussion in accurate and clear prose in Italian. |
| Indicative Assessment | The research paper (5,000 words), to be examined by two assessors, is 100% of the assessment |
| Workload | 1 hour per fortnight with supervisor (in person face to face electronically) plus 8 hours research and writing. |
