| Course Description |
These courses are mainly for postgraduate and Honours students on an individual guidance basis. Students may choose any relevant reading materials to their thesis and read them through with an instructor. When there are a few students in class, the same reading materials may be chosen by them to read together in one class per week. All classes are entirely conducted in Japanese.

Mid-term take-home examination (summary in Japanese; Japanese to English translation; comprehension questions; and Kanji reading) 40%; final take-home examination (summary in Japanese; Japanese to English translation; comprehension questions; and Kanji reading) 50%; and self-assessment 10%. |
