This course is intended to introduce students to a current area of interest in stochastic analysis. The specific topic covered will be determined by the interests and availability of staff. |
| Learning Outcomes |
On satisfying the requirements of this course, students will have the knowledge and skills to: 1. Explain the fundamental concepts of a special topic in the statistical sciences and its role in modern mathematics and applied contexts.2. Demonstrate accurate and efficient use of specific techniques from statistical science. 3. Demonstrate a capacity for mathematical reasoning through analysing, proving and explaining concepts from statistical science. |
