| Course Description |
This course builds on knowledge and skills gained in the courses Recording Techniques A & B. Students will explore sound recording software in detail, focusing on one key industry leader, and comparing that with others to observe similarities and differences. Students will be encouraged to use the full creative potential of these sytems to create , record and produce music. An understanding of the hardware involved will also be gained, together with system optimisation , resource management, workflows and 'housekeeping'.

Students will acquire knowledge of computer software and hardware relating to music production and apply that knowledge in a creative way to achieve a desired musical aesthetic. Students will understand : 1) the Digital Audio Workstation environment and applications |
| Indicative Assessment |
Attendance required at 85% of classes for successful completion. 1) Weekly tasks focusing on specific areas to determine competency in specific skills. 40% ( learning outcomes 1,2,5 )

The course will be delivered as weekly 2 hour lectures followed with a one hour tutorial. |
