Indicative Assessment Students will give a presentation at the end of the course. This must include at least one substantial and sustained work. This will assess technical and musical progress and artistic development over the course of study. Students will receive a written report reviewing their progress at the end of the first semester of study, (or as a mid course review if undertaken full-time).
Workload Under normal circumstances (two semesters part-time) there will be an average contact of one hour per week for individual tuition. However, the arrangement of that time will depend on the student's study program, as directed by the teacher. In addition, students may attend and observe performance classes and other activities at the School of Music as available. Students not resident in Canberra may need to make alternative attendance arrangements with their teacher.
Course Classification(s) SpecialistSpecialist courses are designed for students having reached 'first degree' level of assumed knowledge, which provide for the acquisition of specialist skills; or 'second degree' and higher level of knowledge; or for transition to research training programs; or knowledge associated with professional accreditation.
