| Course Description |
This course will examine a range of ethical issues connected with politics and related spheres of society. Topics that will be considered, will include: self-interest and principles in politics, lying, loyalty, public policy and private values, perks, money and influence, and a range of issues relating to the institutional side of politics including party (and other) think tanks, journalism and, more generally, the public sphere, the public service, the role of special advisers and the moral side of some constitutional issues. |

6,000 word essay (80%) and class presentation (20%). |
