| Course Description |
An introduction to selected themes in the philosophy of art: mimesis and representation in Plato and Aristotle, the notion of beauty, realism in 20th century philosophy of Art, the notion of the sublime in postmodern philosophy of art. |

Short essay (40%), long essay (45%) and tutorial participation and presentation (15%). |
