Well-written reports are recommended for publication in the Program's Discussion Paper series.
Learning Outcomes On satisfying the requirements for this course, students will have the knowledge to design and conduct original research. Students will also develop their writing and presentation skills.
Indicative Assessment

Assessment is based on the satisfactory completion of a 17 - 20,000 word research paper. Students must also make a presentation of findings at the end of semester.

Workload

There are approximately 6-8 contact hours for academic skills workshop and presentations plus time spent with individual supervisors. Because this is a research project, students will spend most time working independently. The workload is potentially higher than for a normal 12-unit course.
