Course Description

Clinical Field Placement VI is the final of six internships of 250 hours each associated with the Doctor of Psychology (Clinical) degree. After successfully completing their fifth clinical placement, students are allocated to a final internship either within one of a number of agencies providing clinical psychological services within the ACT or surrounding NSW region or within the ANU Psychology Clinic.

Students enrolled in this unit are expected to take on a more senior role in clinical work and successfully demonstrate the ability to work with a greater degree of independence than more junior interns.

Course Classification(s) SpecialistSpecialist courses are designed for students having reached 'first degree' level of assumed knowledge, which provide for the acquisition of specialist skills; or 'second degree' and higher level of knowledge; or for transition to research training programs; or knowledge associated with professional accreditation.

Enrolment is restricted to students enrolled in the Doctor of Psychology (Clinical) coursework (Program 9061) at the School of Psychology.
