The minor in Project Management aims to provide knowledge of project management frameworks that can be used in the workplace.

 

Learning Outcomes
On satisfying the requirements for the project management minor, students will have the knowledge and skills to:

  1. Develop a business case for new projects
  2. Use tools for project selection, planning, leading, reporting and tracking
  3. Evaluate project success
  4. Understand how projects are funded
  5. Understand how projects can be better managed

 

Prerequisites

Some courses in this minor have INFS2024 Information Systems Analysis and COMP2400 Relational Databses as a prerequisite.

 

Requirements

This minor requires the completion of 24 units, which must include:

12 units from  completion of the following compulsory courses:

INFS3059 Project Management and Information Systems

MGMT3002 Techniques for Business Project Management

12 units from completion of core courses from the following list:

COMP3120 Managing Software Development

ENGN3221 Engineering Management

MGMT2030 Human Resource Management and Strategy

MGMT2035 Managing Organisational Change

MGMT3021 Leadership
