Career Possibilities

The character of job opportunities for archaeology graduates is undergoing a major shift with growth in applied archaeology, both in private practice in consulting firms and in public service in heritage agencies. Graduates could also gain employment with small to medium-sized environmental consulting firms that have started to hire archaeologists as part of their Environmental Assessment teams and large multi-national, with environmental consulting firms and with government heritage agencies.

Graduates of this degree can apply for membership of the Australian Association of Consulting Archaeologists Incorporated.
