The demand by employers for Asian Studies graduates is keen and ever increasing. Graduates who have undertaken a degree program in security analysis are especially well-placed to benefit from career opportunities which open up as Australia's relations with the nations of Asia develop. Corporations, governments, aid agencies and other major institutions are becoming keenly aware of ther need for a combination of high-quality security analysis and in-depth understanding of the Asia region. Major corporations and arms of government have looked to ANU graduates for expertise on regional issues for many years. Asian Studies graduates of the ANU are finding employment in areas such as the media, marketing, international trade, banking and finance, the tourist industry, and federal and state government departments with policy interests in Asia.
