Bachelor of Asian Studies/Bachelor of Science
The combined program consists of:
- at least 192 units including a minimum of 96 units taught in or approved by each one of the relevant Colleges.
The minimum requirement from each College is:
ASIA-PACIFIC STUDIES:
Asian Studies courses to the value of at least 96 units taught in or approved by the College of Asian Pacific Studies including:
- Asian-language courses forming an Asian language major as defined in the College entry for the Bachelor of Asian Studies, to the value of between 48-60 units; and
- non-language courses forming an approved cognitive major as defined in the College entry for the Bachelor of Asian Studies, to the value of between 36-48 units.
Thus, the course combination for a language major and the cognitive major could be: 8/8; 9/7 or 10/6.
SCIENCE:
At least 96 units of Group A, B, and C courses including:
- no more than 36 units of Group A courses
- no fewer than 36 units of Group C courses
- the completion of at least one Science major
Admission to degree of Bachelor of Asian Studies requires:
Total of 144 units including:
- not less than 96 units of Asian Studies courses as defined above.
- courses to the value of not less than 48 units taught in or approved by, either of the relevant Colleges
Admission to degree of Bachelor of Science requires:
A total of 144 units including:
- not less than 96 units of Science courses as defined above
- further courses to the value of not less than 48 units taught in or approved by, either of the relevant Colleges. No more than 48 units of first year courses may be counted if admission to the BSc occurs before the combined program requirements have been completed.
