The aim of the certificate is to provide, at the intensity and initiative levels appropriate for graduates, with a strong grounding and experience in the main perspectives of ‘field archaeology’, as well as introducing them to the necessary experience of grey literature research, academic research projects and professional archaeological reports. “
Students who apply for entry into the Graduate Certificate, will be able to conclude their studies with that qualification and then may be eligible for further studies. Further studies may include: proceeding to the Master of Archaeological Studies and/or various Masters by coursework programs within the School of Archaeology and Anthropology. To proceed to that Masters by coursework degree, students must pass their Graduate Certificate.
Prerequisites
Applicants for entry to the Graduate Certificate in Archaeological Practice program should have obtained a Bachelor degree from an approved tertiary education institution, or relevant professional experience.
