The Graduate Diploma in Asia-Pacific Studies is a one year study abroad program that leads to a deeper and richer understanding and fluency in a regional language and the context of the region. It is available to students who are completing any College of Asia and Pacific undergraduate program, the Master of Asia-Pacific Studies, or any other ANU program, who meet the Admission Requirements and are approved by the Delegated Authority.
Admission Requirements
The Graduate Diploma is a distinguished program intended for talented and dedicated students. Admission requires candidates to have a sufficient proficiency level in regional language as deemed necessary by the relevant language convenor. For single Bachelor degree programs, admission is based on successful completion of 16 University courses (96 units) at an overall high credit average or better; for combined degree programs, admission is based on successful completion of 12 University courses (72 units), at an overall high credit average or better. Selection is approved by the Director on advice from the relevant program convenor.
Disclaimer: Applicants are advised that due to circumstances beyond the University's control (for example, specific international security concerns and international health crises) it may not be possible for students to commence or complete the Graduate Diploma in Asia-Pacific Studies.
