The Graduate Certificate of Engineering Practice is a flexible program for part-time professional students in the engineering, science and technology sectors.  It aims to:

  • Develop the professional capabilities of engineers and managers within the context of their organisations;
  • Enhance technical and business awareness;
  • Provide preparation for roles within key functions in the industry;
  • Instil a systems engineering approach to the development and management of technology and operations;
  • Provide a pathway into further programs such as the Master of Engineering Practice;
  • Provide a flexible program of content and delivery suited to workplace demands and opportunities.

Admission Requirements

Admission requirements for the Graduate Certificate in Engineering Practice are:

  • A completed four-year Bachelor of Engineering degree from a recognised higher education institution or equivalent; and
  • A minimum three years relevant work experience; and
  • A letter of support from the applicant's employer.

OR

  • A completed three-year Bachelor degree in a relevant technical discipline from a recognised higher education institution or equivalent; and
  • A minimum of five years relevant work experience; and
  • A letter of support from the applicant's employer.

OR

  • A minimum of ten years work experience in a related discipline; and
  • A letter of support from the applicant's employer.

The Program Director may choose to vary entry requirement in particular circumstances.
