Drawing 2 further develops student skills, techniques and processes in drawing. Conceptual and thematic issues are addressed and occupational health and safety instruction is included. The course is studio-base and students experiment with a broader range of drawing media and formats. Students continue to extend their understanding of analytical and observational approaches to drawing. Occupation Health and Safety instruction is included.

Note: Places in this course are limited. Students are advised to enrol as early as possible.

3. Apply concepts to the development of works of art
4. Show awareness of historical and theoretical contexts relevant to the course

Portfolio of studio work (80%) [LOs 1 – 4]

Journal/Documentation/Studio Theory presentation (20%). [LOs 1 – 4]

Assessment includes periodic critique and review sessions that provide ongoing feedback on work in progress.

4 hours per week lectures, tutorials, critiques and supervised studio practice and 6 hours per week independent studio practice and other research.
