| Course Description |
In Textiles 4 students consolidate acquired skills and extend their material and conceptual abilities through the development of individual projects. Higher-level skills, techniques, processes of fibre and mixed media construction are further developed. Critical thinking and creative problem solving are encouraged. Studio theory contextualizes student study within the textiles and broader arts contexts. Occupational health and safety instruction is an integral part of this course. |

Portfolio of studio work (80%) [LOs 1 – 4] Journal/Documentation/Studio Theory presentation (20%). [LOs 2 – 4] Assessment includes periodic critique and review sessions that provide ongoing feedback on work in progress. |

12 hours per week lectures, tutorials, critiques and supervised studio practice and 6 hours per week independent studio practice. |
