Course Description

In Textiles Design 5, students develop a design brief articulating the ideas and context for their work and providing a plan of the research required to bring an individual design project to completion. Projects develop over the semester in response to studio research and critical discussion with staff and peers. At this level, students critically reflect upon and evaluate their completed design projects and present full documentation of tests, models, and all design planning.  Studio theory is aimed at furthering student ability to articulate a contextual framework for their design project. Occupational health and safety instruction is an integral part of this course.
