| Course Description |
In this course, students extend skills, techniques and processes in the discipline of sculpture. Through close consultation with staff, students will develop a focused Independent Work Proposal to develop works that identify areas of interest with the possibility of drawing on ideas developed through their major study. Conceptual and thematic issues are addressed and occupational health and safety instruction is included. |

| Indicative Assessment |
Portfolio of studio work (80%) [LOs 1 – 4] Journal/Documentation/Studio Theory presentation (20%). [LOs 1 – 4] Assessment includes periodic critique and review sessions that provide ongoing feedback on work in progress. |
| Workload |
4 hours per week lectures, tutorials, critiques and supervised studio practice and 6 hours per week independent studio practice and other research. |
