| Course Description |
This course provides a theoretical and empirical discussion of labour markets. Topics include: labour supply and the determinants of hours of work, migration, investments in human capital, labour demand, wage determination, discrimination, internal labour markets, trade unions, and macroeconomic issues related to wages and unemployment. |
| Learning Outcomes | The purpose of the course is to give an introduction to the basic theoretical models and a taste of the empirical analysis that characterises labour economics. |
| Indicative Assessment |
Mid-semester exam (34%) and a two hour final exam (66%). |
