Course Description

Corporate Valuation is a "capstone" finance course that draws on core corporate finance principles, theories and methods previously studied. Students will work in teams to value an existing company, and prepare a report to present their analysis and recommendations. The techniques covered include discounted cash flow, multiple-based and asset-based valuations.

Learning Outcomes

On completion of this course, students should be able to understand and apply company valuation techniques, and be more effective at working in teams.

Indicative Assessment

Assessment in the course is 100% assignment-based, with provision for a teamwork adjustment.

Workload

At least three contact hours per week plus private study time.
