Offered By School of Art

Course Subject Visual Arts
Offered in First Semester, 2012 and First Semester, 2013
Unit Value 12 units
Course Description

In Glass 5 students work on self-initiated projects and explore their own thematic, technical and conceptual interests.  Technical demonstrations and hands on classes are again the main teaching method. Individual tutorials, including technical tutorials, allow students to focus their interests and develop their research in a self directed manner. Studio theory at this level aims to assist students in locating their own work within a contemporary context. Group discussion and critique sessions play a role in this with an expectation that growing confidence will be seen in student presentations. Occupational health and safety instruction is integrated thought the syllabus.
