Bachelor of Medical Science
Where there is mention of Science courses, majors, minors and specialisations this refers to courses, majors, minors and specialisations that are offered by the ANU College of Medicine, Biology and Environment and the ANU College of Physical and Mathematical Sciences (see approved lists)
This program requires the completion of 144 units, of which:
A maximum of 60 units can come from the completion of 1000 level courses
A minimum of 36 units must be completed in 3000 level Science courses
The 144 units must include:
A minimum of 96 units from the completion of Science courses (see approved course list), including:
- 60 units from the completion of the following compulsory courses:

- BIOL1004 Molecular & Cell Biology
- CHEM1101 Chemistry 1
- CHEM1201 Chemistry 2
- BIOL2103 Human Physiology
- BIOL2142 General Microbiology

- BIOL2171 Biochemistry and Nutrition
- BIOL3141 Infection and Immunity
- BIOL3190 Medical Science in the Workplace
- 6 units
- 6 units of courses with a quantitative focus, chosen from: Any first year level MATH, STAT course or BIOL2202
- 30 units of courses including:
- 6 units of 2000 level courses chosen from:
- BIOL2151 Principles of Genetics
- BIOL2162 Molecular Gene Technology
- BIOL2174 Cell Physiology in Health and Disease
- BIOL2176 Introductory Human Anatomy
- 24 units of 3000 level courses chosen from:

Students enrolled in the BMedSci must maintain an average of 65% in all compulsory courses each semester to remain this program. Students who do not maintain 65% will be transferred to the 3 year BSc program.
Students in this program may opt to participate in the joint degree program with the University of South Australian (UniSA).
