Bachelor of Science (Science Communication)
The degree requires completion of at least 144 units including at least 96 units of Group A, B and C courses,
The total of 144 units must include the 6 core science communication courses (36 units):

ENVS1003 Environment and Society Research Methods
Group B (Second Year)
SCOM2001 Practical Skills for Communicating Science
SCOM2003 Science in Popular Fiction
Group C (Third Year)
SCOM3001 Science, Risk and Ethics
SCOM3002 Science in the Media.
It must also include 4 other courses (24 units):
- 6 units from List 1
- 18 units from List 2, including at least 6 units from List 2(a).
The core science communication courses and the courses in Lists 1(a) and 2(a) can count towards the 96 units of Group A, B and C courses.
The degree program may not include:
- more than 48 units of courses not defined as Group A, B or C
- no more than 24 units of these 48 may be at first-year level
- more than 48 units at first-year level
- fewer than 36 units Group C
The maximum period for completion of the degree is 10 years from the date of first enrolment in the degree program; the 10 years includes periods of leave.
