Program Requirements

The Bachelor of Advanced Computing requires the completion of 192 units of courses including:

  1. 42 units of fundamental computing courses consisting of:
  2. 24 units of software development courses consisting of:
  3. 18 units of mathematics courses consisting of:
  4. 18 units of professional development courses consisting of:
  5. A further 24 units of 4000-level COMP courses including either COMP4550 Advanced Computing Research Project or COMP4560 Advanced Computing Project.
  6. A further 66 units of electives, of which no more than 30 units may be 1000-level courses, and at least 18 units must be courses offered by the School of Computer Science. These may include a 42-unit Major in an advanced area of the computing discipline with a cognate interdisciplinary area from science, mathematics, arts or engineering.

 A major comprises of 7 courses from one of the following specified lists, of which at least three must e offered by the School of Computer Science. Compulsory courses for the respective Major are starred.
