Bachelor of Information Technology
The Bachelor of Information Technology requires completion of 144 units including:
(a) At least 96 units taken from courses listed in Schedule 1 of which at least 36 units must be 3000/4000-series courses.
(b) Not more than 60 units at the 1000-level.
(c) The following compulsory courses:
- COMP1100 Introduction to Programming and Algorithms
- COMP1110 Introduction to Software Systems
- COMP1710 Web Development and Design
- COMP2400 Relational Databases
- COMP2600 Formal Methods in Software Engineering
- COMP3120 Managing Software Development
- MATH1005 Discrete Mathematical Models or MATH1014 Mathematics and Applications 2 or MATH1116 Mathematics and Applications 2 Honours
(d) Students may also complete a named major. The completion of a named major requires the courses listed within the major to be completed. The named majors are listed below:
