Requirements
At least 36 units consisting of:
- MKTG2004 Marketing
- MKTG2001 Marketing Research
- MKTG2031 Consumer Behaviour
- MKTG3023 Strategic Marketing
- And any two of of the following:
It is strongly recommended that students who wish to be considered for entry into the honours year in marketing should complete the following courses, either as electives in their marketing major or as general electives:
Further Information
The marketing program develops students' statistical, strategic and technical skills in order to prepare them for their future career in the marketing sciences. Students can enjoy a range of mathematically orientated statistical coursework opportunities throughout their to develop their research competencies. Courses within the major engage with a variety of stimulating pedagogical techniques using traditional and advanced lecture delivery, simulation games, and a mix of individual and group assessment. Students have the opportunity to learn various theories of marketing management along with the emerging trends of marketing science, econometric modelling and advanced marketing decision making technologies adopted by organisations around the world. Members of the marketing teaching group are highly qualified with years of teaching experience in Australia and overseas, and the advancement of the marketing knowledge of their students.
It is strongly recommended that students wishing to apply for honours in the discipline of marketing should complete in their pass undergraduate degree the following courses, which are available as electives in the marketing major or as general electives:
STAT2003 Statistical Marketing Research Methods
STAT3005 Advanced Marketing Research Methods
