Program Requirements

The program consists of 48 units comprising of:

(a) 24 units of the following compulsory courses offered in Semester 1.  Students must maintain a minimum 65% average in all courses to continue into Semester 2:

• MICR8000 Introduction to Microscopy (6 units)
• MICR8101 SEM in Physical Science (6 units)
• MICR8201 TEM in Physical Science (6 units)
• MICR8301 Specimen Preparation for Hard Matter (6 units)

(b)  24 units of the following compulsory courses offered in Semester 2:

• MICR8510 Critical Reading and Writing in Microscopy (3 units)
• MICR8611 Crystallography for Electron Microscopists (3 units)
• MICR8900 Research Project in Microscopy (18 units)
